privacy policy

the short version

we don't sell your data. we don't use AI on your content. we collect the minimum info we need to send emails. please note though that during our beta period, we do store emails and track some delivery metrics for quality control, but we will stop tracking once our beta phase ends.

what we collect

if you're a sender (you have an account):

your email address and name
your list name and sending preferences
your subscriber list (email addresses of your people)
your email content (see "how we handle your emails" below)
payment information (handled by Stripe, we never see your card number)

if you're a subscriber (someone added you to their list):

your email address
which list(s) you're on
whether you've unsubscribed

that's it. no IP addresses logged. no device fingerprinting. no location tracking. no cookies for tracking purposes.

what we don't collect

no click tracking (we don't know what you click)
no browsing history
no device or browser information
no geographic location data
no A/B test data (we don't A/B test)
no AI training data (we don't use AI)

during beta

just send it is currently in beta. here's what that means for your data.

right now, during beta, we:

store copies of emails sent through just send it for debugging and service improvement
track open rates and delivery rates to verify emails are being delivered

once we leave beta, we plan to:

delete email content after sending (store only temporarily for preview and approval)
stop tracking open rates entirely

we're only tracking during beta to make sure things work. once they do, we stop.

how we handle your emails

during beta:

when you send an email through just send it, we store a copy of it. we use this to troubleshoot delivery problems and improve the service. we don't share it, sell it, or use it for anything else.

after beta (our intended behavior):

we receive your email at your secret email address
we store it temporarily (up to 12 hours) so you can preview and approve it
once you approve it, we send it to your list
after sending, we delete the email content

we don't read your emails for marketing purposes. we don't analyze them. we don't use them to train anything.

who else touches your data

Postmark delivers emails on our behalf. see their privacy policy.
Stripe handles payments. we never see or store your card number.
Heroku hosts our servers.

we don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.

unsubscribing

every email sent through just send it includes an unsubscribe link. when someone unsubscribes, they're removed immediately.

deleting your account

email support@justsendit.email to delete your account. we'll remove your account and all associated data, including subscriber lists and email history.

data security

we use HTTPS everywhere. passwords are hashed. we follow standard security practices. no system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you if there is a breach.

where your data lives

our servers are hosted on Heroku. your data may be processed in the United States.

children

just send it is not for anyone under 18. we don't knowingly collect data from minors.

changes

if we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll email you about it.
